In the winter of 2015, Nobuhisa and Yuko Takahashi opened TAKAHASHI in South Wimbledon.

Our cuisine is strongly based on Japanese traditions, bringing together hand-picked ingredients to offer you natural and clean flavours in delicious dishes.

We put an emphasis on fine dining with healthy values, focusing on quality and seasonal products served in a relaxed environment and by an informed service with a personal touch.


As of July 2022, we are transitioning to an Omakase only model, as we shift towards and delivering a more carefully selected, curated dining experience. Our reasons for shifting from our two-menu system to only Omakase:

To enable our diners to enjoy a more curated selection of dishes. We want to offer a novel dining experience through which diners can discover delicious new flavours they have never tasted before.

To offer a wholly balanced menu. Our chef seeks to deliver a menu that not only tastes good and offers complementary flavours, but also gives attention to health and nutritional balances.
